Hello. My name is Charles Sweeney. I have been a Village of Canastota resident for 26 years. My wife, Cathi, and I have two children. Formerly, I was Canastota Central Schools' Board of Education President and also served on the Recreation Commission. I’m proud to be a 1984 graduate of Syracuse University. As a Village of Canastota Trustee, I am Liaison to the Department of Public Works, the Refuse/Recycling Program, the Waste Water/Sewage Treatment Plant and Village Insurances.

My vision for the Village of Canastota’s future growth will include the implementation of the Downtown Development Plan, as well as plans to improve our Waste Water Treatment Facility. Both of these will have a huge impact on business and residential development within our community. Thank you for allowing me to serve you as a Canastota Village Trustee.
