Our Department is comprised of three companies: Patten Hook & Ladder, Delano Hose and Forbes Hose. Each company may have up to thirty active volunteer firefighters and has it's own meeting dates, presidents, treasurers, secretaries and line officers. A council consisting of two members and the Chief of each company manages the Fire Department. This council of nine members is tasked with overseeing all aspects of the Department. The line officers, which are elected by each company, are in charge of emergency incidents. Each of the three companies has a Chief, Captain and 2 lieutenants. Every two years the Department rotates leading companies; this rotation determines which Chief becomes the leading Chief.
